BRUNTSFIELD House Nursery might be a high quality learning environment for children from three months to five years old ... but it's also fun!
Parents, whose children attend nursery, want them to learn as much as they can so that when it comes to the time for “big school” they are well prepared, have had a head start and are confident enough to go out into the wider education community … the children just want to play with their friends.
At Bruntsfield we take great pride in the fact that our children are closely following the Curriculum for Excellence and enjoying every minute of it in a safe, warm and stimulating environment, combining learning and play seamlessly.
Our recent full refurbishment makes Bruntsfield an oasis in the city centre, with ample off-road parking to allow parents to drop off and pick up in complete safety, as well as a wonderful garden area where the children can experience the changing seasons in what is considered by many to be Edinburgh's finest outdoor learning space.
We cater for children from all over the city, but mainly from Bruntsfield and Morningside, and we have a well established Parents Development Group with whom we work closely, unashamedly tapping into their wealth of expertise and talent for the benefit of the children in our care.
Our staff are all highly qualified, dedicated and devoted to the children. We have visiting teachers who introduce the youngsters to French and computing skills as well as a teacher parent who is voluntarily developing our eco-class and helping us work towards winning an Eco Schools Green Flag Award.
We are open 51 weeks of the year from Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm and we are regulated by the Care Commission and Her Majesty's Inspector of Education … and like our children we always aim for top marks!
